HEATING ELEMENTS

L.P.H.W. ELEMENT RANGE

Heating Elements

L.P.H.W. elements are of aluminium fin, mechanically bonded to copper tube.

The fin material is 1050 'O' grade, 0.38mm thick and pressed to form a corrugated fin with integral spacing collars and interlocking return edges.

The copper tube conforms to BS2871 part 1, table x. It is manufactured from Grade C106 to EN12449 1/4 hard. This is mechanically expanded to a standard diameter of 15, 22 or 28mm within the fin.

A maximum length of 3 metres can be supplied, but for ease of delivery we try to limit lengths to 1.5 metres

Elements are supplied polythene wrapped for protection.

Copper "push-fit" connections are available on request.

In addition to standard commercial testing, we have our own environmental test chamber, which is routinely used to confirm predicted outputs on non-standard configurations. The table below shows the maximum possible output from each element range in free air conditions.

ELECTRIC HEATING ELEMENTS

Electric Heating Element

Electric elements are generally used where there is difficulty in providing a hot water supply. They are also used when a compact unit is required with a higher output than our L.T.U. ® D unit. They are supplied tested and pre-installed into their casings.

Each element (or set of elements if more than one is used in the same casing) comes complete with thermostat and thermal overload.

The maximum output is around 1500 W/m, but if there is sufficient room, 2 or more elements can be used side by side increasing the output accordingly.

All our electric elements are 240V, with the Amperage draw dependant on the output.
